Project Group “Intercultural Space Bern”
We are a group of motivated volunteers of SCI Switzerland who plan and organize various projects with the residents of the Kirchlindach collective accommodation from the Red Cross. For example, we opened a clothes shop with donated clothes in the asylum center. Every second Tuesday in the afternoon, two volunteers are at the centre to run the clothes shop.
In addition, the group of volunteers occasionally carries out activities with the residents, such as organising excursions and redesigning and cultivating the garden.
The aim of our project group is to promote active exchange between different cultures, to support integration as a community effort, to build bridges between cultures and to break down prejudices. With various everyday projects, discussions and activities, we create a creative space in which autonomy, respect and the recognition of our differences are promoted.

CAMP COORDINATOR
Supervise a group of international volunteers in Switzerland for two weeks!
PROJECT PARTNERS
If you are a non-profit organization or a company based in Switzerland, you can organize a workcamp at your place.
DOING CIVIL SERVICE
Do your civil service with us as a camp coordinator in workcamps or as a cook at seminars and training courses.
EVS MENTOR
Support an EVS volunteer personally during his or her stay in Switzerland – show him or her your favorite places and meet up for a coffee or tea every now and then.
