Eco Stories: Engaging Youth in Environmentalism and Climate Advocacy
About the Eco-Stories project
The Eco-Stories Project, led by Service Civil International Switzerland, addresses the growing need among youth organisations and young individuals to enhance their skills in climate activism. This initiative aims to empower young people to organise impactful climate actions and contribute to environmental preservation and regeneration at both local and global levels.
Project Goals
The Eco-Stories project is designed to build the capacity of 46 youth workers and volunteers from 14 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Participants will develop essential competencies in planning, implementing, and contributing to climate volunteering and climate advocacy initiatives, fostering impactful change in their communities.
Why Eco-Stories?
Eco-Stories combines environmentalism and digital storytelling to engage and empower young people in meaningful environmental conversations:
Environmentalism
enables youth to participate in community-driven projects and hands-on initiatives that create tangible environmental benefits.
Digital Storytelling
provides a platform for young voices, allowing them to share compelling narratives, raise awareness, and advocate for climate justice globally.
Key Objectives
Equip youth workers and activists to implement effective environmental conservation and regeneration activities.
Align with European and global climate initiatives to drive unified action.
Build networks between youth workers, NGOs, and stakeholders to share resources and best practices.
Create non-formal tools for youth workers on topics of environmentalism, storytelling, and advocacy.
Use digital tools to enhance the impact of climate advocacy efforts.
