Create a Common Understanding: a project promoting intercultural exchange and peaceful coexistence
Every summer SCI Switzerland hosts volunteer camps, which take place all around Switzerland. „Create a Common Understanding“ is a project for refugees and asylum seeking persons, as we want to invite them in those projects to create an open space for intercultural exchange with volunteers from all around the world and to offer a refreshing change from daily life in the reception centres.
Please contact us and we can inform you about the open volunteer camps, that you could take part in.
This is a project for refugees and asylum seeking persons who are:
- 18+ years old,
- willing to take active part in the whole duration of the volunteer camp,
- have an interest in intercultural exchange and learning from diversity and
- can communicate in the required language (normally English)
Which costs are covered by SCI?
- Participation fee
- Food and acommodation during the project
- Trravel costs
- Contribution to materials if needed
