WORKCAMPS

What is a workcamp?

Short-term volunteer placements in an international group. The duration is 1-2 weeks. Together with volunteers from different countries, you support a social, ecological or cultural project abroad (in more than 90 countries!) Or in Switzerland. Together with other volunteers you help and discover the culture of your host country. Through your commitment, you get to know new people and can gain first-hand experience of the culture and society of your host country. From 16/18 years.

Special regulations apply to workcamps in Africa, Asia or Latin America. Find out more in the North-South exchange section.

CREATE A COMMON UNDERSTANDING

Every summer SCI Switzerland hosts voluntary projects, which take place all around Switzerland. With the project „Create a Common Understanding“ we want to invite asylum seekers in those projects to boost intercultural exchange with volunteers all around the world and to offer a refreshing change from daily life in the reception centres.
