Our Understanding of Pacifism – a discussion paper of the working group ‘Political Statements’ of SCI Switzerland

In a world in which violence and war have once again become acceptable, we want to set a clear counter-accent: with a reflected, diverse and action-orientated pacifism.

In the new position paper, our ‘Political Statement’ working group shows what it understands by this – as people, as an organisation, as part of the international peace movement and from a European perspective. It sheds light on ethical foundations, various pacifist currents and asks how pacifism can be lived under today’s conditions – in Switzerland and worldwide.
